Honestly, I wish one of those drunken idiots would have jumped behind the wheel and mowed down a couple hundred of the other drunken idiots.

Vancouver, Your team lost, SO DEAL WITH IT! Boston Buins won.The U.S. Hockey teams have won more Stanley Cups than the Canadians. So stop rioting in the street otherwise this city will like Cleveland, Ohio!

    USA, USA USA USA!

    WORD FROM THE STREET PROPHET

Not even the Russians can't beat the Americans in ice hockey!

Well put, many Canadians like to think that their cities are so much better than cities in the USA.

Both Sears and The Bay stores in downtown Vancouver were vandalized, however in Boston no one was throwing rocks through Macy's, or Lord and Taylor's windows.

    Way NOT to go Canada.

Didn't the same thing happen in Detroit back in 84 when the Tigers won it, As a die hard Lions fan if they every win a superbowl, I may flip a car over, possibly my own, lol

    Guess you missed the Olyimpics?

I hope you realize, Danny...that 53% of all players inthe NHL are Canadian.
Americans only make up 21% of all players in the NHL.

And incase you didn't know..... there are only 3 Americans on the Bruins
There are 17 Canadians and a small handfull from Europe.
Take a look at the roster

The difference is that when Canada riots, they clean it up quickly.

A friend of mind told me that they rioted because they are a socialist country.

Vancouver wanted to give soccer fans a run for their money. Not even Detroit can match those idiots!

Got to hand it to those Canadiens. They messed up royally but the way they made up for the mess is great and classy.

Covering a police cruiser in scores of thank-you post-its.

The boarded up windows are also covered in messages of thank you to the VPD, and apologies.

I think the real reason behind the riots in Vancouver is that they are still upset that Wayne Gretsky dumped his Canadian girlfriend, married an American girl and became an American. lol

Your friend sounds like a real piece of work.
So riots in this country are because were capitalistic ?

The riots in Vancouver could easily have been about the fact regular Joes and Joannes [[the Plummers) cant afford a house no more. In Detroit you may balk at a lovely one that goes for a grand, but in Van, you cant get a decent place for less than 700 grand. House prices have hiked 12% last year eve though th e economy has no bearing on the appreciation. The result is nobody wants to be transferred there because the quality of life issues are too damning. Only rich chinese or indian investor absentee owners buy into it. In one sense, Detroit and Vancouver are two sides of a silly speculative coin.

Well I suppose at one time, especially in the Bush years we had a somewhat legit claim to moral and intellectual superiority but since we have just elected a neo-con dictator I would say those days are over.
