This was a long, well-planned investigation, and it shows how real the threat is from homegrown terrorists," said King, of New York.

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said if there can be any good news out of this case it's that "the group was relatively unsophisticated, penetrated early and not connected to any outside group."

A very insecure mentality. We should not care what those who are our enemies think of us. For that matter, using moral principles of good and evil, we shouldn't care what anyone else thinks of us.

Yes we should. I'm sure Hitler uttered that very same remark.

Irrelevant what Hitler did, or did not think on the subject.

Why should we care if we are doing the right thing and are not insecure in our values?

It's us against the rest of the world? If we want to invade sovreign nations, it's nobody's business right? We have a huge strike against us, and that was invading Iraq on lies to the US people and the rest of the world. They simply don't trust us anymore.

We can thank President Obama for protecting us from this threat, if we apply the same logic the right used under Bush's watch.

I want to sincerely thank all the Presidents and government employees that labor to keep us safe! I can't possibly list you all.

Batts needs to thank the Academy, grab his little golden statue and run for his life.

His portrayal of Torquemada in the above post is his best yet!

Since you don't seem to care what others think of us, we choose to feel the same about you, too!

I suppose for your next act you'll channel your inner McCarthy?

    Can't wait for the reviews

"The rest of the world" can decide for themselves whatever they like, for whatever reasons they like. That should hold no sway on what we do consistent with our core values [[individual freedom and liberty).

    Interesting:

    http://www.thenation.com/blogs/dreyf...plot?rel=hpbox

In this case, the alleged perps -- Onta Williams, James Cromitie, David Williams, and Laguerre Payen -- were losers, ex-cons, drug addicts. Al Qaeda they're not. Without the assistance of the agent who entrapped them, they would never have dreamed of committing political violence, nor would they have had the slightest idea about where to acquire plastic explosives or a Stinger missile. That didn't stop prosecutors from acting as if they'd captured Osama bin Laden himself.

No, but the FBI should not be egging on mentally ill people to "plan" crimes and terrorist acts. This crap is nothing more than propaganda.
