    Default Remember the artist Tom Powers who played all over the tri county area in 70s-80s

    saw him in Birmingham Southfield Detroit and Pontiac

    Yes -that's him -- I never saw him with his band, but my brother did - I saw him first in 1982 and he was a solo act by that time, and all the times after that ---He lives in Phoenix now and plays in a band with his wife[who is the headlliner] - He soured on the recording industry -- He was one talented artist---- recorded his one LP in 1977 "Love and Learn" -- Glad you remember seeing him - His current band is up on YouTube

    wasn't the Robin's Nest near Dodge Main? It was a bar connected to a hotel/motel - Good times!!! Even then that neighborhood was a little intimidating...

    Yes it was. I was 18 in 76 when my dad got me in there. He said, you do not go in there, ever.

    My uncle worked at Dodge Main from 37-75 towards the end he would wait for his buddies to walk into the plant -- It must have been rough,, and he always worked nights[what he liked]
