What will be the lost opportunity for hotel room sales because the Spartans are in the final four? How much will this cost our community? Why did they have to go and get to the finals this year?

Actually Detroit won't loose anything, Michigan State will. Even though they are so close they still have to fill some 500 rooms for the Final Four.

CNBC had article about by having MSU in the final four Detroit would lose revenue. Fans from Louisville would fly to Detroit, stay at hotels--not just make the drive from Lansing and drive home.

I was aware that MSU would be hurting, but come on...Not to mention I know of at least 30 alumni NOT in Michigan who are making the trek back to the D
