City Of Detroit Financial Picture Improving

Numbers sound pretty impressive on all fronts, budget, joblessness, etc.

Given the difficulty many states [[yes I know apples and oranges) are struggling very badly with budget deficits [[some seem self inflicted because of tax cuts they couldn't afford), it is nice to see Detroit run a budget surplus.

It would seem from everything I've read on this forum that conditions which lead to enhanced revenues should continue for Detroit.
