Center for Urban Youth & Family Development needs the help of the Detroit community to win a much-needed renovation up to $50,000 from Drops of Good: The Maxwell House Community Project. Next Friday 6/8 is the last day for your readers to visit
MaxwellHouse.com to vote as the CUY is competing against 9 others around the country. The top three with the most votes will receive the makeover of a lifetime.
Maxwell House, has been brewing good deeds and fueling volunteerism for years. Building off the momentum of last year's success, in partnership with Rebuilding Together and country superstar Trace Adkins, Maxwell House is revitalizing communities from coast to coast and inspiring hope from the ground up.
The Center for Urban Youth & Family Development serves residents through:
Providing programs for low-income, vulnerable foster care youth
Providing Substance Abuse Prevention, Life Skills Development, and Workforce Development Training
Offering counseling support services
The Center would use the $50,000 to continue being good to the last drop by renovating an abandoned house to serve as a home for local foster care youth including a new kitchen, heating and cooling, and security.
