Somalia’s Piracy Offers Lessons in Global Governance

Asking for 3 million dollar ransom and receiving it seem like economic growth to me.
The military response is wrong, this is not the 17th century Barbary coast pirates.
Send military planes, strafe the motor boats running back to the mother ship and problem is solved. Yes, the marine corp was founded to destory the Barbary coast pirates, lets do it again.
Hooray for us - we repelled the pirates without firearms. Just think of what we could do if we had some.
