SCOTUS, right to marry, John Bursch

John Bursch is the attorney "representing Michigan." Did anyone hear his arguments on NPR? a four year old could poke holes in them with a canned green bean. For example, he said that if they make same-sex marriage legal, it would lead to more children being born out of wedlock. He also said something to the effect of "marriage is meant to be about the children," which led me to want to ask him if he thought all couples getting married should first be tested to see if they were fertile, or if he thought post-menopausal women should be allowed to marry

I didn't hear his arguments but I did see him being interviewed on TV and thought immediately we don't want to win. He looked like he was fresh out of school and very keen to get started to get some experience. The interviewer referred to his comments on Marriage/children and I couldn't believe the naivety.
