Two wins over Cuba is huge. They are the best baseball country in the Americas outside the USA. Pound for pound they are better. I wonder if the Dutch team had players from Curaçao. Two super stars of MLB Anrduw Jones and Jair Jurgens are from there, The latter played for the Detroit Tigers.

Indeed. There are a lot of Dutch players with a Carabean background. Today about half of the team got a hero's welcome of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The Cuban team was, according to the experts, one of the best editions of the last decade.
