I understand some of the abbreviations [[DB = .........), but what's a CDC?
Local control was reestablished weeks ago. If the mayor and city Council want them returned, all they need to do is sign a piece of paper. If they do not, it is because they don't really want it. And it is a whole lot easier to blame the outgoing guy, than to take responsibility for doing it yourself.Quote:

Orr did this as a "screw you" as part of his final actions as full EM. There is no reason to get rid of CDCs; unless you feel they're a thorn in your "development" side. And, I'm sure it's a lot hard to re-establish something in the future, when it shouldn't have ben eliminated in the first place. 7 members in 7 districts is already about 50 people - sounds like a quagmire of indecisiveness
The Councils/Districts idea appeared to be doomed from the start.................
A State board already had the ability to squash anything dreamed up in council meetings
They became obsolete as soon as city council changed to districts,if you have a problem call or email your representative that's their job.Its not like before.
