Place Promo/ SHPO, Detroit Urban Conservation Project, 1976

I was directed to this project today. I'm sure this has been posted here before, but I can't find it anymore. I have viewed a few pictures here now and again, but never saw the entire project until today. This is possibly a work of one of the universities in the area originally, although I can't find any reference to it anywhere.

As a digital snapshot of neighborhoods and business areas in 1976, I believe this is a valuable resource for the region.

im such a detroit geek... ive been looking at so many of these photos... i cant believe how much 'decay' is already showing in these shots... is it safe to say that the burt out homes in some of these shots are from the riots vs. the causes of todays arson?
