^^^^ Agreed. Sometimes the somewhat 'comedic', sardonic style of Leduff can be annoying. But he's spot on with this one. What's happening with the DONATED fire truck!???? How does this mess make the person who donated feel? Dangy! He'd done better just selling the thing on Craigslist!
LeDuff is a hack who has plagiarized and stolen stories from other, better, writers. That's why he sold out and works for Fox 2 now. They reward cynicism about Detroit and love the idea of an 'edgy' white male reporter talking about how crappy the city is, but presenting it as if he really gives a care about what's going on.Quote:

The Free Press [[which actually does responsible journalism, at least much of the time) did some interesting reporting on Don Austin a few Sundays ago in which he DID have many good idea. Also some more explination than "let it burn" would be in order. Really taking things out of context.
