Detroit non-profit challenge
PROJECT: DEFORCE - launches non-profit challenge as an opportunity to show your support for the city of Detroit. The winner will be announced on March 14 at the screening of the film Deforce at the Charles H Wright Museum of African American History.
The Nonprofit Award is a $5,000 donation that will go to the group that receives the most votes through the attached form on our web page. The winning group will also be joining representatives from Focus: HOPE, The Heidelberg Project and Youthville Detroit to take part in a candid discussion on what each of us can do to make Detroit a better City- to be taped and aired locally.
Detroit Documentary Productions is putting on this vote and taped discussion while we promote the film with the goal of helping to introduce more people to these groups whose works- like other historical lessons DEFORCE spotlights- is too often overlooked.
We encourage each of you to go to the site, review the nonprofits in the list and choose one whose mission you support.
