The statements addressing the symbolism behind the relighting is predictable. But was there a specific reason why it wasn't lit for the last five years, other than perhaps cost-cutting... or apathy?Quote:

I've been in the Pacific Northwest 30 years now, and I still refer to the United Way fundraising effort as "The Torch Drive"......
