Is Ficano Sheriff or Executive?

Does anyone know if Robert Ficano is Wayne County Sheriff or Wayne County Executive...or perhaps both???

I am totally confused after viewing this video from WDIV.

Can anyone remember a time when Mayor Bing / Kilpatrick / Archer ever joined their Police Chief to talk about the arrest of a criminal suspect? :confused:

In the video "Blind" Benny does not look too happy having "Fido" Ficano as his seeing-eye-dog. :cool:

If Sheriff Benny is short staffed and lacking Deputy Sheriffs to make midnight rounds at the Old Jail, perhaps Ficano could come over and help out.

But don't wait up Sheriff Benny. No news cameras = No show Ficano.

Election season must be close. :eek:
