the big benefits the “gaming industry” was supposed to deliver hasn’t worked out very well for atlantic city. that didn’t stop this author for slamming detroit in the title of this piece.

i believe dan gilbert is having a bit more success with his properties and reinvesting back into the communities [[ detroit, cleveland, cincinnati ) than the trumps, etc did in atlantic city. but so much of the surrounding story [[ civic corruption, poverty, broken promises ) seems all too familiar.
