What's the law when you have political points to score?
The Snyder administration hasn't been too keen on the idea of abiding by the law.
From what I hear, quite a few states may be opting out.

Just a bunch of political grandstanding. Schuette and Gov Scott of Florida are playing to the base. Once the final results are in and Obama is re-elected these guys hat in hand, tails between their legs will be first in line and people will forget how obstinate they were.
If every state receives $9.8M for "planning", 50 x $9.8M = $490M to plan. How hard can it be to set up the second state health exchange after one state has done it? Everyone was so happy about the Supreme Court ruling a couple of days ago and now the fine points of the ruling set in including there being no penalties on states not participating. My guess is that some Republican governors will be bribable and will turn their state over to Obamacare if they get something additional from the federal government.
$10M/state, $.5B/nationwide is not an atypical budget for this scope.Quote:

This is a federal program dumping printed money into it's state subsidiaries which are acting as sub contractors. This isn't quite the same as Massachusetts or Vermont setting up their own health care programs.Quote:
