It was never going to be true that no one's taxes would fall--even if taxes on average were going to rise, there are some seriously overassessed properties out there, and the tax rate is more or less fixed. But it looks like the intention is to cut the assessments, and hence the taxes, overall.Quote:

I disagree. One thing that discourages people from buying houses in the city is the unreasonable tax bills that come from unrealistic assessments. Most people buying a house aren't planning to go into tax default, even if they may do so eventually.Quote:
