I'm not sure of your point. While extremely sad, it isn't particularly newsworthy that children are dying through violent means in the Middle East; has been happening with regularity for decades now.
In contrast, a fired White House insider revealing extensive secrets to the public, including tapes confirming the vile racism, idiocy and lawbreaking contained within, is quite newsworthy.
And it isn't like the press is incapable of reporting two things at once. The latter is just more newsworthy; man bites dog is more newsworthy than dog bites man.
Eh, in regards to the book tour, et al, I think sales could be bit cool.
Some may read Omarosa as an opportunist who was fine with Trump as it served her.
The news coverage alone may suffice over a fireside read of the book!

Maybe the Omarosa flap is an attempt to counter recent improvements in Trump's standing with black Americans. Discouraging illegal non-citizens from taking jobs and putting tariffs on foreign products have contributed to record black employment. Maybe rising approval ratings among black Americans made it necessary to play the Omarosa card. I don't know what the actual black approval rating is because the polls are over the place. Trump received 8% of the black vote in 2016.
Pew Research has Trump at 14% approval among black Americans.
The NAACP's poll 21% approval among black Americans.
Rasmussen [[Aug. 15) poll 36% approval rating among black Americans.
But let's get back to killing 40 children in Yemen. Using Democratic identity politics lingo, Arabs are brown people. If so, then the 40 dead children that Trump indirectly had something to do with might be better compared with the hundreds of thousands of dead Arabs and millions of Arab refugees resulting from Obama/Kerry/Hillary policies than Omarosa's betrayal.
