It seems demicans have found their b*+lls after some [[a couple of decades?) fumbling. Don't expect demicans to remember where they found their b*+lls. They're thinking they might challenge Bush tax cuts renewal. What a joke. How long will their boldness persist? Not long in my estimation. They're right where they want to be - in the minority, speaking against the republicrats, but doing little.
They have to kick up a little fuss because they're getting mail from irate people losing their homes. But, of course, they'll just roll over and let the oligarchs fuck us good. Politics is like pro wrestling without the athletics -- it's a show designed to have us arguing over little things while the important stuff has already been bought and sold.
Everybody who goes through all the bs to get elected to Congress thinks s/he is the best rep. for their area and isn't likely to jeopardize that seat easily. AS long as money rules our elections, there will be darn few people who will cut short their political careers by upsetting the people with Big Money. We need to get the money out of elections.

Absolutely correct. But how?
EVERYONE here and around the country owns at least one form of the old television system and/or a computer.
Between those two infrastructures ALONE, we could have all of the information delivery for election education necessary...including libraries and government buildings, also. Then we simply ban all other forms of unbalanced speech, where only deep pockets can access the top of the soapbox. [[LOL, my inner Free Speech advocate just choked on his portion of that last sip of coffee)
Just have to sanction one portion of the old airwaves, because they haven't all been auctioned off by the FCC just yet...or like the cell frequencies, there is likely a glut of incomplete auctions due to company failures or troubles with the financing of deals due the banking/insurance debacles.

I agree with Oldredfordette to the extreme, especially with regards to corporate personhood status.
As for using old tv technology, broadcast the ads and information continually, with scheduled regular FULLY democratic debates [[designed to insure the poorer persons aren't shut out of the process!) and have a common form of web clearinghouse of information and forum-style debate [[so people can READ an exchange of ideas regardless of the usual time/space restraints)...and let the system really work!
