Suburban Police Cars in the 1970's, 80's and 90's

Do you have any idea how police cars in the suburban tri-county area looked like from the time Adam-12 was still airing new episodes through 2000? Plus, in 1989, Melvindale's units were white with a blue strip [[with some red as well) as seen in a Youtube video of a 1989 WJBK newscast [[which had Sherri Margolis as one of the anchors and featured a report on the Pistons winning game two of that year's NBA Finals as well).
