Gilbert the Indefatigable scores the Grinnell and Sanders

Is this guy relentless or not? It seems every week that he makes a big move. Where does he get the time? Oh, and in the background, he has a pro basketball team probably headed to the NBA finals to win it. And then there's that little multi-billion loan company to run.

Yesterday he bought the Grinnell and Sanders buildings on Woodward adding another 83,000 feet to his growing 14 million downtown. Amazing.

He owns more than 14 million square feet of space spread across 80 properties like buildings and parking decks, largely in and around downtown.

Meanwhile down Woodward... It's Official! Gilbert Locks Up Redevelopment Of Old Hudson's Site

It will be interesting to see what his plans are considering the buildings are almost fully occupied. I would love to see the bottom floors restored to their former glory.
