The official Primary Election Countdown Thread

Hi Forumers,
Don't forget to get out and vote next Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in the State Primary Election. Polls open at 7am to 8 p.m. If you live in the City of Detroit, please check your new voter id card that was mailed to registered voters in May as your polling precinct has changed and your location may have changed as well due to the 2010 Federal Census.
The primary election "nominates" the candidates [[basically bringing the list of choice candidates down to the top vote getter to be placed on the ballot in the November General election). Also, by going to the upcoming election you get to work out any quirks in in locatiing your polling site since some areas had to combine several precincts in one polling site due to several school closures in Detroit.
Lastly, please make sure to have your photo identification ready ie. Driver's license, state Id card, passport, etc.
