It can not be justified, for any reason, by any group. There is no justification for murdering kids and teenagers.

Perhaps we should just let the zealots and fools in Pakistan, Afghanistan and the entire mideast have the damned New Dark Ages they want.
Ironic, that at one time Christian Europe chose Dark Ages while in the Islamic world, art, science and mathematics thrived.

Any containment strategy becomes too cost prohibitive in today's inter-connected world. You can mark my words, brave young Americans will have to go back there in ten to fifteen years to finish the job the Obama administration insisted the US had to walk out on this time around.

If dubya hadn't decided to oust Saddam, we could have actually eradicated most of the Taliban leadership. ISIS would not have a foothold in a thoroughly dysfunctional Iraq. Afghanistan has been ungovernable for...ever. Ask Alexander the Great. Ask Gorbachev. How much are you willing to have your taxes increased to stay/increase our presence there? How much blood of our children are you willing to spill? are you willing to have your child/sibling/niece/nephew/brother/sister die? That is what I thought

That's Islam being Islam. People wearing robs, fezzes and Hijabs and veils all over their bodies while carrying their knives, swords guns in their left hand and the Qu-ran in the right hand. They fight for Allah, convert the infidels to Allah, they kill infidels for Allah and they die in the name of Allah. They their blood lust culture and they won't change.


ALLAH AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR!!! is their holy patriotic cry!

Concurrent to the dark ages [[and middle ages) at points, let's not forget that Islam was on the move to concur and convert, often by the sword along with the arts, sciences etc -- some of which was borrowed from the Chinese.

All Muslims don't adhere to the lust culture you describe. Generalizations do little to understand and respond to the radical aspects that are rising up hard, as we see globally.

There's two kind of Islam: Islam, Jihad for peace and radical Islam. It's radical Islam that is Islam Jihad for peace a bad name.

Only an organized religion would even attempt to legitimize this.
