Charities in the Street

This used to occur once a year. Now I've got to avoid these folks every weekend, for what seems like every cause under the Sun. If a business doesn't want you begging for money by their front doors, what makes you think this is an excuse to stand in the left hand turn lane of a 55 mph road begging at my window ? I know charities are having a hard time supporting their activities in these tough times, but getting run over in the street while begging for change on a major thoroughfare is not the answer ! This practice should be outlawed immediately.
