Conyers a no-show on own TV show

Conyers' show was set to air at 3:30 p.m. Instead, the station broadcast several commercials and public-service announcements. Finally, at 3:40 p.m., with Conyers nowhere in sight, last week's episode was aired.
"She didn’t make it," R.J. Watkins, owner of the station, said about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. "The staff is here. The guest is here. She didn't show."
Left in the lurch was planned guest the Rev. Wendell Anthony, president of the Detroit Branch NAACP.
Perhaps something is in the water. Last week, Conyers announced Councilwoman Martha Reeves as a guest, but she wasn't on the show either.
