Every year since 1999 on the last Saturday of April, Tai Chi practitioners assemble to promote their martial art form. Starting at 2:30pm in China, the birthplace of the art, and traveling to over 60 countries the event circles the globe. The Detroit area event is 2:30pm at Helen Keller Elementary School in Royal Oak 1505 N. Campbell Rd. , and sponsored by Michigan Tai Chi Center. The event is free and open to all.
