If more money were to be spent in Detroit [[On preservation), what should it be spent on? I am sure the list is nearly endless, but someone has to prioritize, and it will not be you or me.

Not being a mega-business man, this tax credit stuff is all Greek to me but I love the fact that there is so much interest in these renovations in Detroit. And Federal incentives to boot! There is obviously a lot going on behind the scenes here that we just don't hear about. Perhaps anxious investors waiting for a change of administration?

I think it has to start with iconic and identifiable buildings like the MCS, Book and Stott. But those are all huge projects. Prioritizing the smaller projects is a much tougher task. I think you have to look at plausibility. Personally, I'd rather save 5 buildings that are starting to fall apart than 1 that is pretty much already apart.
