Currently we are having minor showers with some thunder and it has not produced any warnings. Right now, no Metro Detroit counties are under a warning but the metro is under a severe thunderstorm watch. There is a major system in the western portion of the state that has produced a tornado warning just west of Coldwater.
So be careful anyone from Metro Detroit who might be reading this, including DYes members!
I won't have to water my lawn for awhile.

Update: Livingston, Washtenaw and Lenawee counties are now under severe storm warnings. So warnings are now officially in Metro Detroit. So DYers living in these counties stay safe!
My office here in Lansing was just a rockin and a rollin a bit. Love me some summer storms.
I've often missed a good Michigan thunderstorm in my 27 years here in Las Vegas, but occasionally we get a reminder of what it's like. This week an unusual early monsoonal flow from Mexico has given us a week of scattered thunderstorms here in the desert, including three gully-washers on my home turf. They were wonderful!
But I miss snow storms......not at all.
Update, all landlocked Metro Detroit counties are under a severe weather warning.
Another update: My county [[Wayne) is under a severe thunderstorm warning!
