Does anyone know of any contemporaneous etchings, paintings, etc of Detroit's early years?
There are prints/lithographs from the very early 19th c......not only seen them, but I own a few.
If memory serves, I've also seen a few from the 18th c......and I've also seen a photo of....ummmm....either Campau or Cass dwelling house somewhere along the river that was taken late 19th or early 20th c. while it was still standing.
Wait....lemme check W Hawkens Ferry book on my shelf. To be continued.

I imagine you can find some inside of Brian Leigh Dunnigan's book, Frontier Metropolis, but I don't have my copy with me to confirm that [[its a big book; you don't take your copy many places).
