Walk In Medical Care
Hoping somebody may have a decent place to recommend. I have a friend visiting from the UK - he arrived yesterday and I noticed he has some type of ulcer on his lower ankle area. He said he bumped his leg about a month ago and it still has not healed. I'd like to have it looked at since he has a history of hypertension and circulatory problems - problem is, I don't have a primary physician of my own to take him to [[no health insurance so I just kind of wing it, like a lot of other people....) I am assuming that a walk in clinic would be our best bet, an urgent care of some sort - obviously not an emergency but still suitable for this type of thing, right? I plan on covering the costs. I am sure some are better than others - can anybody recommend one in Detroit or nearby?
TIA!

before i had health insurance i would always go to the walk-in DMC storefront at the compuware building. they were always very good and had a $100 flat fee visit rate. [[this was a few years ago though.)

tkierpiec: Please let us know how your friend is doing. Such wounds are very dangerous to a diabetic or someone with poor circulation. Hope everything is ok!
