"My ultimate conviction is what does the word of God say and what would Jesus do? Can you in your wildest imagination ever see Jesus packing a .38? I can't imagine Peter and Paul carrying .45s."
What kind of Pastor is this guy? Read the Bible Mr. Meredith. Though, Jesus would never carry a .38. I would hope he would have a SIG SAUER P229 .40S&W.

Aren't there graphic images of violence in these places called church. Why would it be a stretch that the church leaders would carry weapons? It's part of the environment.

That I've met plenty of pastors when going around the northern parts of the state who carry guns. And they'd tell you they're defending themselves and their god-given right to bear arms.
