The original Free Riverside Park crusader marks a 12-month anniversary today.
Though he doesn't pitch a repeat of the Fall Softball Classic his newsbreak inspired, this Joel On The Road post -- headlined Matty: Still Squattin' on Riverside Park -- brings that to mind.

Sure, the city has gone to court to evict Matty from the land he’s squatting on. Amazingly, the judge is still dithering about this no-brainer.
A year into this story, and Matty still acts like he owns the park.
