"Where's Mason?"
"Where is Mason?" That's the question heard leading into a station promo that began running on WCHB-AM 1200 [[99.9FM) today. The promo continues "..Find out on Monday, Nov 28, @1PM." It appears Mason is back at Radio One, ...but on a "talk-radio" format on 1200-AM? Or is this just an announcement for one of their other stations?
Hmmm! It'll be interesting to see how they handle this. Anyone have any additional info on this?

Isn't he still in his resting place at Capitol Park? Oops! Wrong Mason!

It appears majority of the people that were over a WGPR are working for Radio One in some form.

The announcement has just been made, and John Mason is back on the radio after WGPR 107.5FM [[where he was previously on the air) was taken-over by Radio One last month and converted over to hip-hop.
Mason is back with Radio One doing afternoon drive Talk Radio on WCHB-AM 1200 and 99.9FM beginning today at 4PM.

I am glad that WCHB had allowed Mason to have a show on the station. I would love to see talk show hosts with a different view the what the so-called Queen of Talk, Mildred Gaddis hold.Have hosts with more of a conservative and thinking out side of the box views on the station also. Someone who know the city real well for Gaddis and Henderson don't know. The talk show host Angelo Henderson recites the crime report unfortunately with a humorous flare. He implies that most people who had "heard shots and felt pain" meaning that they were into some crime themselves. Very irresponsible reporting if I may say so. WJR is still king in the Detroit Metro area.
