This doesn't surprise me. One thing about living a long time, is that I've seen very little justice in this world. Hang on to your hats though, because it's all justice, in the next world. Always, be ready.............
Before everyone wets themselves, he isn't being released. It is technically justice. He's still going to get life and if/when he ever comes up for parole, he's going to be denied.
