This just sickens me.

This type of graft steals money from the kids and pushes taxes higher.

Where was the oversight from the DPS School Board? No accountability!

No wonder DPS is running a $200+ MILLION deficit.

And people are surprised why the voters want to throw out the incumbents?

If I remember correctly, that particular round thievery happened during the initial state takeover.

In fact, there was a surplus before the state takeover, when the board was disbanded, and a deficit once the takeover was ended. The last bond money that was misspent was misspent during the state takeover as well. And the current school board is the one that insisted on an investigation that led to the discovery of this theft of funds. They filed the lawsuit for the return of the money.
