The trolls on this board - you know who they are and have been - are paid about 25 cents per post. Which is why they idiotically run the board or leave two word posts everywhere.

On a more serious note, that's the price one pays for free speech. Anyone who's spent enough time on the internet knows that there's a very high noise-to-signal ratio.

Misinformation should be met and countered wherever one finds it, be it from paid bloggers or not, so that innocent third parties not be misled.

I dont find those two statements compatible with one another, but yes - my point is that fake information should be outed. Especially if it potentially violates the terms of the board where the activity is taking place.

"I AM THE WINNER!") accompanied by generally correct grammar, unlike some of the other right-wing posters, who are obviously guys who have never left their basements in years...

While you may have a general idea how many people read or post on Dyes, the people funding our fake bloggers probably don't know or care. They just see themselves as valiant generals fighting a war, and their employees as gallant fighting keyboardists.

And if you multiply .25 by thousands, it's a little bit of extra income that also serves the greater needs of their cult.

A win/win situation for those with a lot of time, a broadband connection and a general lack of interest in actually experiencing the world, because as Stephen Colbert would say, there's a lot of reality in the real world, and reality has a liberal bias.

The "Beverage Choices" site is obviously put together by the booze industry and not at all grassroots, but... having dealt with Indiana's Puritanish and nonsensical alcohol laws, I'm all for it. :)
