This totally disgusts me to the core.

Fluffy's name has taken on a new meaning.
The SOBs! How cruel - hope they get caught and they're severely punished.
These animals have no value for human life, they certainly don't have any value for a family pet. They are mindless creatures without a brain and without a conscience.
A new low. Karma will deal with these jerks, and it will be sooner than later.
I am not an overly religious person [[more faith than anything) but if that ever happened to me and they were caught, I would get very biblical on their asses.
This is sick, I can only wish whomever did this to be cut with a thousand razor blades followed but a nice lemon juice bath.
I wonder if everyone's outrage at this incident extends to the animal they'll be consuming tonight.

Good idea...
And we wonder why thousands of people are leaving Detroit every year?........
Heartbreaking... hope they catch the murderous thieves.
Didn't read thread, but it's obviously the cats fault.
What do we do to try to stop the kind of senseless cruelty?. I just mailed another check to the Michigan Humane Society. One group trying fight the sick people who committed this senseless crime. Donations through October are being matched...so give generously. May the person who did this burn in hell...I believe he will.
Another reason for Detroit's rating as "The Worst City in Which to Raise A Family" that was stated on the news tonight. This was a national news item.
Come on people...
Quote:
Roseville -- Police are seeking the public's help in tracking down burglars who killed a family's cat by stuffing it into a washing machine and turning it on, leaving it for the horrified owners to find.
Roseville Police Deputy Chief James Berlin said officers are continuing to interview neighbors in hopes of obtaining a description of the suspects or a vehicle that may have been used to flee the scene.
"It just puts me over the edge," Berlin said. "These guys are going to brag to somebody."
...
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Roseville Police Department at [[586) 775-2100.
I'm sure the posters meant "Detroit" as in "metro Detroit" or the "Detroit area."
Nevertheless, those burglars are sick a-holes.
Stuff like this is just totally disgusting :[[
Poor little Ruby was the cutest thing ever. I hope they catch whoever did it and stuff them into a washing machine.
I hope those murdering thieves have continuous dreams the rest of their lives about cats scratching their eyes out. I've thought about this all day and it has made my heart hurt.
a perfect example of more people who should be shot.
They shouldn't be murdered, they should be hanged drawn & quartered.
Maybe cut their fucking head off and put it on a bridge around here too.
Burglary and animal cruelty are not capitol crimes
They sure as hell should be. I hate theives in general.
It's just a bit naive to think that in this hellhole of a town where - once again - criminal activity is not only cherished, but taught to the lil injuns by those welfare mothers, that any of these perps will ever have a bad dream, or have one hesitant thought about the whole ordeal. They grey matter is like chalk dust, and they've probably already concocted several chuckling jokes about "spin cycle", "permanent press versus hot", and so on. That said, this is an act punishable by law. Right? Right.
When I was in Korea they explained that dogs used for food are different than dogs used as pets. Completely different. Sure... Yet they look the same.Quote:

That's different from a pet....yes it is different, don't even bother to try.
Nevertheless, I'm thinking of smoking some brisket and ribs. Animals are good food.
If we aren't supposed to eat them, how come they're made of meat?
In Washington, D.C., in the year 2054, murder has been eliminated. The future is seen and the guilty punished before the crime has ever been committed. From a nexus deep within the Justice Department's elite Pre-Crime unit, all the evidence to convict--from imagery alluding to the time, place and other details--is seen by "Pre-Cogs," three psychic beings whose visions of murders have never been wrong. It is the nation's most advanced crime force, a perfect system. And no one works harder for Pre-Crime than its top man, Chief John Anderton. Destroyed by a tragic loss, Anderton has thrown all of his passion into a system that could potentially spare thousands of people from the tragedy he lived through. Six years later, the coming vote to take it national has only fueled his conviction that Pre-Crime works. Anderton has no reason to doubt it until he becomes its #1 suspect. As the head of the unit, Anderton is the first to see the images as they flow from the liquid suspension chamber where the Pre-Cogs dream of murder. The faces are unknown to him, but this time, the killer's identity is clear when Anderton will murder a total stranger in less than 36 hours. Now with his own unit tracking his every move, led by his rival Danny Witwer, Anderton must go below the radar of the state-of-the-art automated city, where every step you take is monitored. Because people can't hide, everybody runs. With no way to defend himself against the charge of Pre-Crime, John must trace the roots of what brought him here, and uncover the truth behind the questions he has spent the past six years working to eliminate: Is it possible for the Pre-Cogs to be wrong?

As a big fan of animals and cats especially, this just really pisses me off. People who are intentionally cruel to animals are at the top of my list of people I'd like to do very, very painful things to. At the very least these guys should be stuffed into some industrial washing machines so they can get the same experience as that poor cat.
The burglers should be waterboarded!!!
Disgusting
To add insult to injury, this kitten was a birthday gift for the owner.
Just so sad, completely heartbreaking, Pets as we all know give unconditional love and companionship.
Sympathy and prayers to Ruby's owner, Kimberly Ross.
^^I like this idea the best.
They issued a warrant for the subhuman fuckstick today.
"Tyshawn Eric Bost, 19, is charged with one count of second-degree home invasion, a 15-year felony, and one count of killing or torturing an animal, a four-year felony."

It is truly unfortunate that the killing of a cat in Roseville [[or anywhere for that matter) solicits more outrage than a death of a child in the city of Detroit.
Well, they caught the bastard. I'm just disappointed that he comes from my hometown.
I believe that is because the K9 has gone through extensive training in order to become a police officer and help his human police officer uphold the law.
I'm glad they caught the guy that did this crime. I hope he is taken off the streets for a good long time. The cat was bugging him and that's why he did what he did. Moron!
Take him out back - shoot him - move on to the next one.
We're gonna have to get this train moving sometime, right?
I myself would not have wished that on our former cat from Hell. What ever the perp gets it should be doubled.
I hope some animal lover in the jail shoves a shiv into this POS.
Why is he sicker?? You honestly think that guy is going to make a meaningful contribution to society? The cat bugged him so he killed it, what is next? A neighborhood kid bugged him so he killed him? But I guess then everyone can stand around and ask the question why did it have to happen and why couldn't someone have stopped him sooner. Well now is the time, if he would do this to a defenseless animal then what is next.

My sentiments exactly. The animal lovers only love cute animals. The ones they don't like the looks of are put to death without a second thought.
You can hang two assholes at the same time!
Tell me that when something happens to a loved one of yours and the state had it's chance to quarantine the perp.
Tell me that when your kids can't crap at school because there isn't any toilet paper, and that assigned tax money is diverted to overcrowded jails with people who either have no business being there [[read: Marijuana), or are not worth the space they take up in the clink [[read: 1rst degree Murder).
Tell me that when your family pet ends up in the washing machine and it's the same guy who served 2 years and a month for good behavior.
You're not going to fix this guy. He is too far gone like many young people who have grown up in the last two generations or so without jobs, parents, guidance, education, reason and consequence.
Plus, it gets a little repetitive sending these people to crime training school over and over and over and over. If we continue to lock these people up like animals, they will re-emerge as animals. There needs to be a better way.
Here's an eye opener mr. James...... this world has way too many people. We also have dwindling resources. There's no doubt you feel the pinch in one way or another. The time is now for the people who follow the rules to actually enjoy the luxuries of life, and those who don't be dealt with evenly and swiftly.
Atrocities such as this have no place in this world. No place.
Crimes against animals are the flip side to crimes against humanity as well. This person could do that to a child easily.
Exactly, and that's why he needs to go! Think of all the little kids that might have had their life saved if their killers had been caught and sentenced for doing harm to an animal before they moved up to human beings.
This guy is a piece of crap who won't be missed in our society. I don't think there will be any tears shed for his young life. It is only a matter of time before he goes after a human.
Quote: "It is only a matter of time before he goes after a human."
I don't agree with that. I think some are better at discerning between Humans and Animals. Following that logic, all hunters are one step away from being a murderer.
Hunters, as a rule, don't torture their prey. It's the people who torture small animals that move on to human prey.
Exactly, I hunt [[Just got back from bear hunting actually) and I would NEVER intentionally torture an animal I hunt. I do my best to impose a quick/clean kill and then consume what I kill.
Back on topic, it is just a pet and not on the same scale as a human however this guy should be treated like a criminal and punished appropriately.
I am not a thread-jacker, don't even really know what that means. Hope I am not "jacking the thread" here. If I am.... then ... hmmm... considering the subject matter, I don't think so. And don't. Really. Care.
But dig this:
This morning I went over.... wait a second... there is some background info required.
The washing machine in my stinky apartment building has been inoperable since February. The drying machine works just fine. It's a real pain-in-the-arse to keep those clothes fresh, if you know what I mean.
So I strolled over to the All Wet laundry mat on the corner of Fenkell and [[I think) Da Costa. Inside they play smooth jazz, and there are murals painted about the walls. One mural is of the Ambassador Bridge, and behind it - naturally - a rendition of the Renaissance Center. Above are the words "Soul Of Detroit". There are a few other nuances and things there that I cannot describe in detail, and are not necessary anyways to make a point. There is, however, a deli inside that serves waffles and coney dogs.
So I am standing out on the corner, enjoying the morning glow of the sun broadcasting itself across this ghetto. Across the street, some kids are waiting on a porch of a rehab house, waiting for the lady to come and open up that house so that those kids can get their fix, and a cup of coffee, and then sent back out to wait on that DDOT bus. Going nowhere. "Ladies, looking mighty fine this morning", I says. They just walk on by. Eh.
A thug comes walking up the sidewalk. He is walking a dog. A pit-bull dog. The dogs leash is a chain. Not a regular "Pet-Smart" chain, but a chain that many of you have probably towed cedar logs with. I was only hoping that the dog was not trained to attack white people. I am white. It was quite a strenuous situation. For me. Not for the dog. I played cool.
The dog passed me and tugged at that chain, obviously wanting to get a good sniff of my thigh bone. But the cat was cool, and kept that dog from killing me. "We are off to a pretty good start so far" I thought, "getting laundry done AND getting an eyefull of my most favoritest place, or at least, one of them" and laffed to noone in particular.
Well, this man walking that dog stopped at the corner and began to talk with one of the workers of the All Wet laundry mat. I maintained a comfortable, escape-hatch, distance, and overheard part of the conversation. They talked for ten minutes. And that dog..... oy! He wud scary!
At first I thought the conversation was about where to find some drugs, or an egg-roll. But then... I realized.... this guy [[who was walking that dog) was looking for a gun.
"Something like a .357, but easily concealed.... something with some knock-down.... "
Jeez. Guess I oughtta call the cops right now, right? Right.
Being an armorer in a previous lifetime, I quickly concluded that a glock 40 would be right up this guys alley. But I said naught. And did naught. Let the motha fucker take him, and his vicious-ass dog, on down the sidewalk so that I can go back in that laundry mat and retrieve my clothes. And I did just that. Also chatted with the employee of the laundry mat. He wud from Alabama and just recently arrived here.
So I come back home, threw those clothes in the drying machine, and prepared myself for an afternoon court appearance. Wonderful.
Animals are more humane than people sometimes. And at least they're honest.
Those who forget the past are CONDEMNED to misspell it.
