That’s great, and if you already had the stockpile all the better. If someone else went to Meijer today though and stocked up on 30-days worth, that deprives a second person of getting a 14-day stash. So there is a happy medium for buyers today. But if you had the foresight long ago to stock up, I respect that. I just ask, as someone in a family with health professionals, that you try to isolate yourself when the time comes, and for the next week or two practice social distancing as much as possible. Especially if you have the ability to do so.
The next week or two is very likely the calm before the storm. And, not to put undo fear out there, but the US is woefully behind in preparing for this. Despite what the president said, I have heard first hand from several relatives who have complained about the lack of tests. A week ago they had several patients in Michigan who they wanted to test, who by all accounts likely had the virus, but couldn’t because the patient didn’t qualify for the test [[The CDC has rules on who can be tested because they are woefully short tests, and need to have some method of rationing them).
This week, people who think they might have symptoms are calling in asking to be tested. And even though the supply of tests has grown [[and restrictions for tests loosened, there still is not enough tests for those who want it). Point being, the virus is out there far more than people realize.
