Hats off to your research abilities, I used to jog by this home for years and always wondered what it looked like inside....that library is jaw dropping and reminds me of the one that is in the Biltmore estate down in NC although not as big as the Vanderbilt collection it still looks like a great place to cozy up to the fireplace with an old book. Thx Eastside! I also have been a fan of the library. At one time one could see the library from Windmill Pointe but with the newer landscaping the home has become hard to see from the street.

George Robinson house, corner of Ledyard and Cass ca. 1875, by Henry Brush. Brush also designed the Ransom Gilbert House at John R and Alfred in partnership with George Mason, still [[barely) standing. He committed suicide in 1879 after a short impactful career.
