Actually, Cc, I HAVE to assume your ignorance of a matter, because all too often the gist of it is lost on you.
I am actually shocked at some of the basic concepts you miss sometimes.

Clearly, the practice of making assumptions, illustrated by our current conversation, casts you in the wrong light as being in error.
I can't believe that you "have to" do anything against your will.
Please translate this into a readable sentence.Quote:

I believe Gannon can understand it well enough Jams. I am sure he is grateful for your unfounded concern.
Your beliefs are generally unfounded,
He doesn't "have to" do anything against his will, but when the preponderence of evidence points to a certain conclusion, the critical thinker is wise to proceed on an assumption of that conclusion being valid until evidence appears to contradict it.
He feels that the preponderence of evidence indicates you are full of it, or at least that's what I gather from his statements. I further deduce that he hasn't seen any contradictory evidence that would lead him to abandon that assumption.
Maybe you should provide some.
OK...Elganned believes it is wise to make assumptions...noted for future reference.
I'd just like to take the time here to mention that if anyone is holding some smoke that is too strong, or if you fear the gov't has spiked it with some mood-altering chemical, feel free to contact me. I'll be glad to test it for you, or take it off your hands if you feel that's necessary. Thanks in advane.
Bonger!
Hey man, there just never seems enough of the substances for extended testing, so giving away samples for independent analysis might never happen.
You are invited to share in our research, however, any time.
Cheers
Conclusions based on assumptions are unwise. Assumption on the road to arriving at a conclusion may be used temporarily until confirmed or denied. Then, and not before, can a rational conclusion be arrived at.
God, you're really boring me now.

Thanks, El, for picking up my slack.
I wasn't interested in engaging the derailer...I now assume he won't get it anyways.
Is that bad of me?!
LOL...until proven otherwise...
Funny how one so learned refuses to acknowledge that ALL we think we know is based on some VERY huge assumptions.
Gravity anyone? Prove how it works. Make it stop.
The Atomic Force? Ditto. Break it and live to tell about it.
Oh, how about Consciousness and Existence in general?
ALL of the current mythology on Evolution is based on the largest assumptions science can muster...it HAS to be!
One of Science's biggest assumptions is that nothing exists that we cannot prove...say a God-being, for instance. Most of science denies an extra-sensory Consciousness, and ignores the whole-specie consciousness we share...which indeed may be the same exact thing.
Nah, Cc, your arguments are moot, although I entertain them as often as I can stomach them...pretty much the same way you treat MINE!
So heh...we agree to disagree?!
Cheers and more...what a great Monday...
Gravity is a primary, it can't be broken and it's existence is it's own proof.
Atomic force? There are many atomic forces, and the same thing applies as it does to gravity.
Science assumes nothing, especially about existence....an entity which is self evident and proves itself.
Consciousness also exists and does not need to be proven.
