A tan or beige Saab with red Japanese meatball painted on its front doors?

Circa the late 1960s, I recall seeing this car -- it may have been a Volvo -- cruising along Cass Ave. by the Belcrest and on Kirby over by the Center for Creative Studies. The owner was a blonde WASP, probably from a wealthy burb. The vehicle was newish, and the driver was having fun it seems showing off the red meatball car up and down Cass Ave. The meaning of the meatball must have been an inside joke.

IIRC the owner was involved in a tragic accident that took several lives.
