Owner of Freddy's dies, business closing

I don't have much detail, but I found out this morning from the Detroit Blues Society that Freddy Craprotta, owner of Freddy's in Clinton Township, has died and the bar has closed.

I didn't know the gentleman personally, but I spent quite a few evenings at his place. It had an excellent sound system and seemed very welcoming to musicians.

May he rest peacefully, and may his friends and family find the strength to cope and to carry on after his untimely death.
