Anyone have any info on how the Capitol Park project is coming along? Would love to hear updates about the 3 buildings becoming apartments.
Capitol Park itself has been refurbished in a very attractive manner.

Also, there is an informative new biography of Stevens T. Mason whose statue graces this attractive west side park.

I'm moreso curious about the DEGC's plan to renovate 3 surrounding vacant buildings into apartments. Capitol Park itself looks great, but without the buildings around it being vibrant and occupied, it's a waste of time.
The DEGC announced renovations would begin six months from the original announcement, which was last May. That would put construction commencement in November, which has come and gone without a peep.

Got these last week, work is progressing on Capitol Park Building. The Detroit Savings Building looks almost complete and great at night with the new lighting. Another building that I didn't take pic of next door to Farwell is also under renovation
