Ruby taboos and a chef named Victor

I was going out with my wife and she lived on the east side on Roxbury. There was a restaurant on Whittier near Dominican HS called Ruby Taboos. It was supposed to resemble a French cathouse. They served a menu heavily vegetarian but not all. Victor the owner and his wife [[who seemed to wear weddings dresses at times as the host) ran it. Previously, they ran I think something called the Detroit natural foods restaurant on Warren near Chalmers? It had very erratic hours but the food was fabulous. Any memories? Is Victor still in town?
