When Malls Die
Two Malls, One Fate

Once a bright and shining mall on the  bleeding edge of 1960's Detroit urban sprawl, Livonia's Wonderland Mall today sits abandoned and awaiting destruction -- a victim of other newer, shinier malls, further out, devouring the farmlands twenty miles to the west, just as it replaced other centers,  like one at Grand River and Greenfield.
