GREEKTOWN ROLLS THE DICE

Greektown is no longer Greek.  You will rarely hear Greek spoken, that ancient language having been replaced by the cacophony of thousands of slot machines.

It will be of interest to see what becomes of this area, the liveliest of downtown Detroit.  Fortunately much of the original architecture has survived; I hope what vestiges of the Greek identity that remain will also continue.
