Within thirty minutes of a wrecking ball demolition, Orchestra
Hall was barely saved in the 1970's. It has become a beacon
for the struggling preservation movement in Detroit.
Orchestra
Hall

Its
near acoustically perfect auditorium is again home to the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra after recovering from years of neglect which
gutted its magnificent interior.
