Still well over two bucks in Las Vegas. And, by the way, the strip casinos owned by MGM are going to charge for parking starting around March 1. Bring money.
$1.49 at the Wow! on Alter and Mack.
$1.39 Costco on 11 @ Gratiot
I've seen a pump with €1,30/liter for Petrol and €0,94/liter for Diesel. So that's €4.92/gallon for petrol and €3.56/gallon for diesel.
And $5.35/Gallon for Petrol
And $3.87/Gallon for Diesel
75% at least is taxes, still to us this is cheap.
Ow, and this is where I live...
Buck thirty seven.....down here outside of Cowtown.
$1.45.9 at Costco yesterday...
Here in the Central Valley of California I'm paying $2.35 for premium from Costco. Regular is $2.05.
The state of California requires additives that other states don't so we are always the highest out West. I don't know why, but Canada seems to really get "hosed" the worst. Anyone know why?
The exchange rate for the Canadian dollar is currently indexed higher than the US dollar [[by nearly $0.50 on the $1). Exporting oil a major part of their economy and the oil price collapse obviously took the wind out of that, thus diminishing the Return one receives on Canadian dollar treasuries and making it a more expensive [[read: riskier) investment than the USD.
With many things being priced via the US dollar [[especially oil, google "Petrodollar"), it leads to good and services that are much higher in price for them than in the US.

That. In a nutsheddle.
And the tar sands complex is becoming more unprepossessing [[one of my fave words in the english languished) by the hour. Enbridge wanted to build a major pipeline via BC to the port of Kitimat and the resistance was fierce out west. The Keystone Pipeline that was to ship crude to Texas was nixed by Obama and now, in Québec, a majority of mayors in the Montreal region have said no to the Energy East Pipeline project, and Montreal mayor Coderre himself said there was nothing in it for Montreal.
We used to have a huge refinery sector in Montreal East that has dwindled to a few producers. Folks here don't relish the idea of promoting a petroleum based economy. Oil exploration in the gulf of St Lawrence has received a lot of opposition, and Electricity is a renewable resource like nowhere else in Quebec. Frankly, the oil sector here is blocked big time and I don't see much chance of Vermont and New Hampshire jumping for joy at the prospect of a pipeline through their mountain ranges...
If you like playing around with language like that you should try some of AvE's videos. He's hilarious. [[May be NSFW.) He's in Canada too.
