I understand your frustration. I voted for Sanders in the primary myself. In big part because I considered it a protest vote.

But it's now clear there are only two people with a chance of becoming president. I don't like our options either, but we're faced with supporting the least unpalatable of them, or letting other people decide. And of those two candidates it's obvious to me only one of them is capable of the job. It seems like every election people talk about what a disaster it would be if the other side won. But I have never been so afraid of the consequences as I am this year. Even more so because if he wins it's all but certain he'll have the support of the House and Senate to do what he wants.

Michigan is one of the handful of states that could decide the election. Your vote really matters. That is unless it's wasted on a write-in or third party candidate.

I think the election will be much closer than many are predicting. And I worry about how many people will sit it out, or waste their votes. They're working on overdrive producing ads and [[other) disinformation hoping to persuade us to do just that. Be careful what you believe when people talk about election fraud.

The Ins and Outs of Write-Ins

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articl...s-of-write-ins

"In a tense Presidential election, write-in votes get in the way more than anything. Polling places are prepared, though. In states where voters fill in bubbles or complete arrows with a pencil, optical scanning machines are preprogrammed to automatically "kick out" write-ins from the computer's running tabulation, says Joe Kanefield, Arizona's election director. The machine then literally spits the write-in ballots into a pile on the floor. County representatives sort through the pile later."

It seems hard to believe county representatives will work hard to decipher the stubby pencil scrawl later after all the hard work they've already put in to manage the voting. [[Does that say "Bernie Sanders" or "Bennie Sanders"...?) It will already be clear there is no chance a write in candidate won.

I hope you don't mind my attempt to provide food for thought. But I truly am spooked Trump might win. I never thought George W. Bush would win in 2000, until he did.

You really should try doing something else with your hair. It's not very flattering.

I don't think they will let Trump win. Hillary will be shoved in again like in the primaries. So she doesn't even need my vote anyway. I don't think it's a "waste" to vote for an honest, trustworthy candidate [[Sanders) instead of corrupt Clinton.

Pam, the best candidate has already been chosen for you, and you've been told who you should vote for. One of our newspaper reporters has told you why you should not attempt to show your displeasure by writing anyone in. Such actions, as yours, are counter productive to our goals, a clog in the wheels of Democracy, and may even be considered "UnAmerican". I'm afraid you've left us no choice but to bring you in for reprogramming.

Ha. A lot of us will need reprogramming this year.
